About Us
Chris DeGidio is the youngest of six children. Following his parents divorce at age 4, Chris moved around quite a bit until finally settling in Ramsey with his wife. Chris has a passion for fishing, hunting, snowmobiles, ATV’s, bicycles, and fast cars. Chis has three brothers working in construction trades, two as house framers and one as an electrician.
Chris came from parents who held careers and worked hard as a welder, his father and beautician, his mother. Chris learned many life skills from his closest brother and best friend, Bob. Coming from a lower middle-class family, with divorced parents, an absent father, a family track record of drug/alcohol abuse and the lack of structure; Chris knew that he needed support to help break the mold and fulfill his big dreams.
Chris decided to be the first of his siblings to join the military in 2007, at the age of 17. He joined the Minnesota Air National Guard, while attending his final year of high school. The summer after high school graduation, he was sent to San Antonio for basic training. He was then stationed in Pensacola, for several months to learn the basic skills to perform Nondestructive Inspections. Chris served at the 133rd Airlift Wing in Minnesota for 3 more years, perfecting his craft Inspecting the structural integrity of C-130 cargo planes. While in the Air Force, he finally scored a date with his wife, Dana.
They had known each over the years and met at a very young age initially while in gymnastics as kids, then Catacism classes in middle school, and they even attended Robbinsdale Cooper High School together where he graduated with honors. After the first date, they became inseparable.
Chris worked at a small painting company and soon after dating, Chris and his wife Dana began college. After a course correction, Chris graduated in 3 years, with honors and received his Bachelors in Business Management. With the referral from a college classmate, Chris became a new home construction supervisor for Mattamy Homes. During his time as a new home construction supervisor, he got married and perfected his craft and love for home engineering. A few years later, the company moved their Minnesota efforts to Florida. With his knowledge from school, painting, and home building; Chris started Chrave Davis LLC with his partner Dave. However, Daves son has autism and required more support than anticipated. So after a year, Chris bought out his partner and has been solely running Chrave Davis ever since. Chris and Dana experienced the loss of their first child, their only daughter, in the first year of business. They now have 3 healthy and happy boys.
Chris and Dana want to follow God, serve others, work hard, enjoy the best things life has to offer, and experience the outdoors; while doing this raising their boys to do the same. Chris’ vision for the business is to revolutionize the industry by providing customers with a professional painting service; utilizing the latest software, good and honest communication, written proposals with no hidden costs or motives, implementing well trained and honest painters, and providing warranties and guarantees that will leave his customers with the peace of mind that everyone deserves when hiring a contractor.
